Steelers-Ravens: Which Flacco shows up?

By Jamison Hensley

At this point, the Steelers aren't saying who is starting at quarterback Sunday in Baltimore. The Ravens actually don't know, either.

Flacco
Since the bye week, the Ravens don't know whether they're getting the good Joe Flacco or the bad one. Over the past four games, he's either thrown for more than 340 yards or passed for fewer than 165. There's no middle ground when it comes to Flacco lately.

The one consistent part of Flacco's game this season has been his play at M&T Bank Stadium. He's averaged 322.4 yards passing in five home games this season with 10 touchdowns and three interceptions. His passer rating (108.3) is the third-best in the NFL at home this year.

The Steelers, though, have been the NFL's best pass defense and it doesn't matter whether they're playing at home or on the road. Pittsburgh is giving up 165.7 yards passing this season. No quarterback has thrown for more than 177 yards against the Steelers over the past six games. It's a dominant run against the likes of Andy Dalton, Robert Griffin III, Eli Manning, Matt Cassel, Flacco and Brandon Weeden.

In his past four games against Pittsburgh, Flacco has averaged 238.5 passing yards, throwing five touchdowns and no interceptions.
