Jaws' QB rankings: AFC North style

By Jamison Hensley

ESPN's Ron Jaworski has updated his quarterback rankings Insider. It's an Insider piece, so you'll need a subscription to read the entire article. But here some portions involving the AFC North quarterbacks:

BEN ROETHLISBERGER, STEELERS

Jaws' current ranking: No. 5

Previous midseason ranking: No. 5

Jaws' comment: After seeing the Steelers struggle without Big Ben, aside from a great comeback in Baltimore, we know exactly the kind of impact he has on this team. It is pivotal for the Steelers to keep Roethlisberger healthy.

JOE FLACCO, RAVENS

Jaws' current ranking: No. 9

Previous midseason ranking: No. 9

Jaws' comment: For me, he's the same, steady guy every week. Sure, there have been some negative plays, but he also makes big plays for a 9-3 team. All the Ravens do is win under Flacco.

ANDY DALTON, BENGALS

Jaws' current ranking: No. 17

Previous midseason ranking: No. 19

Jaws' comment: When I watch him on TV, I see the great plays he makes and the decent numbers he puts up. But when I watch him on film, I always find a number of scoring plays he left on the field.

BRANDON WEEDEN, BROWNS

Jaws' current ranking: No. 30

Previous midseason ranking: No. 32

Jaws' comment: I do see him improving each week, though, and believe he is getting coached well, because I can see his mechanics and fundamentals improving. And soon, so will his overall game.
