Ed Reed to visit the Texans on Thursday
By Jamison Hensley
There could be yet another starter leaving the reigning Super Bowl champion Ravens.
Free-agent safety Ed Reed is scheduled to visit the Texans on Thursday, according the Houston Chronicle. Houston needs to replace Glover Quin, who signed with the Lions on Wednesday.
Reed is considered one of the top free-agent safeties available after Quin and Dashon Goldson (Tampa Bay) signed Wednesday. The Patriots and Colts were expected to be the front-runners to sign Reed in free agency.
The Ravens have already lost four players on defense this offseason: inside linebackers Ray Lewis (retired) and Dannell Ellerbe (signed with Miami), outside linebacker Paul Kruger (signed with Cleveland) and safety Bernard Pollard (expected to be released).
