Alabama running back Trent Richardson, who could be selected fourth overall by the Cleveland Browns in 10 days, took 17-year-old cancer survivor Courtney Alvis to the senior prom over the weekend.
We addressed this in the AFC North blog on Friday, but the story is more touching when you watch the video. Richardson said he agreed to accompany Alvis to the prom because his mother is also a cancer survivor.
It was an extremely thoughtful gesture by Richardson. He did his best to match his tuxedo to Alvis' pink dress, and he even asked Alvis' father permission before taking her to the prom.
"I'm here for you," Richardson told Alvis as they drove over to the prom.
Now, it's up to the Browns to make Richardson's night on April 26.
