Here are the most interesting stories Friday in the AFC North:

  • Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin has great expectations for third-year linebacker Lawrence Timmons.

Morning take: If I made a list of breakout players in the division -- which I may do at some point -- Timmons would be at the very top. What's scary is he could make Pittsburgh's defense even more dynamic this season.

Morning take: Sometimes a player has to hit rock bottom to get back to top form. I have a feeling that will be the case for Ochocinco in 2009.

Morning take: Ryan is making tons of headlines in New York, but what's funny is Ryan has always been this outgoing. It's just fewer people noticed when he was a coordinator in a smaller market.

Morning take: A former first-round pick, Foster is a bit of an enigma. But it was a low-risk move for the Browns to sign Foster and possibly mold him into a contributor.
