AFC North: Jacksonvile Jaguars

PITTSBURGH -- This AFC North battle was as physically grueling as advertised, and it took five periods to settle it.

In the end, it was the Pittsburgh Steelers that pulled out a 23-20 overtime victory against the Baltimore Ravens at Heinz Field.

Both teams showed the incredible tenacity that was expected from two veteran clubs playing in a rivalry game. The Steelers erased a 10-point deficit in the second half, and the Ravens were able to close a seven-point gap late in the fourth quarter.

But Jeff Reed's 46-yard field goal won the game in the extra period for the Steelers, who improved to 3-1.

With the intensity level that both teams were playing, it will be interesting to see how much either club has left in the tank. There were numerous injuries on both sides, including Steelers tailback Rashard Mendenhall (shoulder) and Ravens tailback Willis McGhee (unspecified).

Both teams will be aching going into next week. The Ravens (2-1) play the Tennessee Titans (4-0) next week, while the Steelers have a big revenge game on the road against the Jacksonville Jaguars (2-2).
