Kevin Mawae’s visited this subject matter before.
MawaeBut Wednesday on Nashville radio he spoke more strongly about his status as unemployed being connected to his position as president of the NFL Players Association.
Here’s a link to the news story I wrote based on Mawae’s comments Wednesday.
I think there are certainly teams that don’t want the president of the PA in their locker room, and I think there are plenty of teams wary of a 39-year old no matter how well he played last season. Combine the two and he’s out of luck -- at least for right now.
I still imagine he’ll be playing this fall if he wants to be. He may have to wait for someone to get hurt.
