Many of you have asked for details on Justin Tryon, the cornerback the Colts acquired in a cutdown-day trade with Washington for an undisclosed draft pick.
He's 5-foot-9, 185 pounds and went to Arizona State and Taft High School in Woodland Hills, Calif. He was a fourth-rounder for the Redskins, 124th overall, in 2008.
I asked Matt Williamson of Scouts Inc. for an assessment of Tryon and here’s what he said:
Sounds like a pretty good fit for what Indy does.
On our Insiders page, Tryon is graded at 67 -- same as Kelvin Hayden and better than Jacob Lacey (65) and Jerraud Powers (63).

“Undersized, scrappy corner who can mix it up but isn't overwhelming physically in any specific area. Has the hips and speed to turn and run in man coverage, but probably has a better temperament for zone and keeping the action in front of him to break on the ball.”
Sounds like a pretty good fit for what Indy does.
