Some numbers of interest from the Colts win in Denver and the Texans loss to Dallas:
  • Peyton Manning to Austin Collie has yielded ridiculous numbers this season. On 32 targets, Manning’s connected with Collie on 27 passes for 11.2 yards per attempt with four touchdowns and a passer rating of 153.0. (ESPN Stats & Info)
  • On third-and-5 or longer, Manning was 7-of-11 for 116 yards and five 1stfirst downs Sunday in the Colts’ win in Denver. (ESPN States & Info)
  • The Colts’ pass defense was poor against Denver on passes thrown more than 10 yards downfield. Thought their first two games, they allowed a completion percentage of just 35.7 and a passer rating of 73.5. Denver’s Kyle Orton hit 14 of 19 such passes for a 16.8-yard average and a passer rating of 133.1. (ESPN Stats & Info)
  • Denver quarterback Kyle Orton posted a 103.5 passer rating in the red zone in his first two games. He didn’t connect on five pass attempts inside the 10 against the Colts and had a 39.6 passer rating. (ESPN Stats & Info)
  • Of Austin Collie’s 171 receiving yards, 79 were gained after the catch. (ESN Stats & Info)
  • Arian Foster was the first running back to top 100 yards against the Dallas defense in 20 games. Baltimore Le’Ron McClain (139) and Willis McGahee (108) both did it on Dec. 20, 2008. (Texans)
  • The Texans out-rushed the Cowboys by a margin of 124 to 101. It was the fifth consecutive game in which the Texans out-rushed their opponents dating back to last season. (Texans)
