Mark Berman in Houston reports that the Texans are hosting linebacker Cato June Tuesday.

June spent the last two years in Tampa Bay where he was the starting strongside linebacker. He spent the first four seasons of his career with the Colts, a sixth round pick in June in 2003 out of Michigan. He was a Pro Bowler in 2005.

The Texans are looking to replenish at linebacker. Many analysts expect them to draft a beefy outside linebacker at No. 15.

June doesn't fit that description -- at 6-feet, 227 pounds, he's as short as the Texans' shortest backer (Kevin Bentley) and lighter than all the backers except for Xavier Adibi. Still he could supply a degree of veteran depth for a team that parted ways with Morlon Greenwood.

I found Berman's report thanks to Alan Burge.
