Our weekly look at where the AFC South teams stand in key statistical categories:

A few thoughts:
  • Houston leaped from 13th to ninth in third-down offense thanks to 9-for-18 work against the Titans. The Texans also moved from 16th to tied for ninth in rush defense after holding Tennessee to 24 ground yards and from a tie for 30th in points allowed to 26th thanks to the shutout.
  • Indianapolis’ overall defense actually jumped from 20th to 17th and its third-down defense improved three spots out of the team’s work in the loss to San Diego.
  • A remarkable 10-for-16 day on offensive third downs against the Giants meant a move from 16th to eighth in the category for the Jaguars.
  • As a result of getting shut out, the Titans plummeted from fifth to 13th in offensive points per game.
