The AFC South Blog will hit the road next week, perhaps for the last ESPN.com sanctioned road trip in some time, to check in on a ton of NFL draft prospects and to stalk coaches/scouts and decision makers of our four teams.
If the tunnel from the convention center to Lucas Oil Stadium is finished, I will see if I can make it from my hotel to the scouting combine without stepping foot outside.
I’ve not begun to do my large-scale homework for the event, but I can tell you we’ll pay particular attention to three positions:
Quarterbacks, where I expect the Titans and Jaguars to pick one in the first three rounds.
Safeties, where the Texans and Jaguars are severely lacking, and the Titans could use help.
Offensive tackles, where the Colts are due to find a young lynchpin.
Shockingly, over at NFC West HQ, Mike Sando found a way to turn this list into a chart. (There could be more to come, stay tuned.)
