The Titans picked up a fourth- and seventh-round pick and the Texans gained a seventh-rounder as the league announced compensatory draft picks Friday.
The picks are awarded based on a complex formula that computes losses and gains through free agency from the previous year.
Tennessee’s seventh-rounder (250th) and the Texans’ seventh-rounder (253rd, the final pick in the draft), arrived because the formula calls for there to be 32 total picks.
Compensatory picks cannot be traded.
Total compensatory picks awarded since 1994: Titans/Oilers 27, Jaguars 19, Colts 16, Texans 4.
The Titans tweeted their nine overall picks: Eighth (first round), 39th (second), 77th (third), 109th (fourth), 130th (fourth), 142th (fifth), 175th (sixth), 212th (seventh) and 250th (seventh).
