Wayne Weaver’s said it. Local reporters have said it. I’ve said it.
Now Jim Irsay is banging the same theme and urging fans to reconsider the way they view the Jaguars’ foothold in Jacksonville.
Here’s a tweet from Tuesday:
“Unprecedented” and “noble” are strong words.
Even if this is Irsay laying it on thick, it’s quite supportive. Of course, he and the Colts have an interest in the Jaguars remaining right where they are. Indianapolis is 15-5 all-time against Jacksonville.
And while the Jaguars are being built in a good way, I think the Colts will be pretty happy if Jacksonville stays put and ranks as a primary challenger for the AFC South crown.
