Struggling Colts, Jags head for prime time

The Indianapolis Colts are winless and hardly a team worthy of a featured slot.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have dropped five in a row after an opening day win over Tennessee.

Never mind all that. Both teams will get the spotlight in NFL Week 7.

You never know when a good game will break out. The Colts' two prime-time appearances produced compelling games against Pittsburgh and in Tampa Bay.

Next weekend doesn’t offer the best slate of games. But before the kickoff, at least four look prime-time worthy to me: Houston at Tennessee, Chicago at Tampa Bay, Atlanta at Detroit, San Diego at the Jets.

Indianapolis at New Orleans would be at the bottom of the list, but the rematch of Super Bowl XLV is the "Sunday Night Football" matchup.

And Jacksonville will try to dress up and show off as hosts of "Monday Night Football." But Baltimore will be a heavy favorite.

Maybe the Colts and/or the Jaguars surprise us.

I think we'd all agree it's more likely we’ve got two duds in the NFL’s top slots next week.
