Texans add DE off waivers, add seven to practice squad
The Houston Texans claimed defensive end Stanley McClover off waivers, releasing tackle Cliff Washburn. McClover had 12 tackles and a sack for Carolina last year. He was a seventh-round draft pick out of Auburn in 2006.
The team has also signed the following players to its practice squad.
LB Kevin Coley
WR Darnell Jenkins
DT Gabe Long
DE Jesse Nading
CB Derrick Roberson
WR Mark Simmons
RB Darius Walker
Coley and Roberson both played well at times in camp and the preseason for the Texans.
