The Titans feel great about their quarterback situation, because they don’t expect the battle for the starting job to be a rout and believe they’ll come out of it with a quality guy serving as the backup. If it’s Locker, he’s a high-energy player who can provide a boost off the bench and can make plays on the run. He averaged 7 yards a carry the eight times he ran as a rookie. If it’s Hasselbeck, he’ll bring veteran savvy and experience and should be able to operate without having had many practice reps. Hasselbeck won’t be surprised by much. He's played in 186 games and has a career passer rating of 82.2. As the reliever, either quarterback would benefit from the Titans’ solid pass protection and improved corps of weapons.
Confidence rating (out of 100) if Hasselbeck or Locker is out for extended period: 81.
