Pagano gets Steelers fan into Colts jersey

NFL fans will accept a lot of qualities in their team’s head coach if he leads his team to wins.

But there is nothing wrong with being outwardly likeable, and the Colts' Chuck Pagano continues to show an engaging personality and some sense of humor.

This story comes from Anderson University via Phillip B. Wilson of the Indianapolis Star.

Alerted to a well-positioned fan wearing a Steelers jersey, Pagano approached him before practice and worked a deal to get Zach Simmons to change into an Andrew Luck jersey.

The fan got to meet a couple former Steelers after practice as part of the deal: offensive coordinator Bruce Arians and running back Mewelde Moore.

“It took some prying, it wasn’t easy,” Pagano said.

“For an ex-Raven, I was surprised, he was a real nice guy,” said Simmons.

Simmons’ friend, who brought him to the practice, wound up with Luck’s actual jersey.
