"We'll go back, and I'm sure they'll do a MRI on Dwight and see what the severity of that is," Colts coach Chuck Pagano said. "He'll be day to day."
If it’s severe, Freeney could, of course, be worse than day to day.
Jerry Hughes is the Colts' third outside linebacker and worked in Freeney’s place. Neither Freeney or Hughes made the defensive stat sheet.
The Colts were already without inside linebacker Pat Angerer, who has been out of action since early in the preseason with a fractured foot.
