JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- What we have here, at the half of the Texans-Jaguars game, is a systematic destruction of a bad team by a good one.

Houston leads 17-0 at the half and it feels much bigger than that.
Jacksonville has been completely unthreatening, staying predominantly in tightly bunched formations, throwing outside and handing the ball off.
It’s a good strategy for not putting Blaine Gabbert at any big risk behind a patchwork line against a swarming front. It’s a bad strategy for scoring points or winning.
The Texans have relied on screen passes and a heavy mix of Arian Foster and Ben Tate on the ground.
Defensively, they’ve not had time to get to Gabbert much, as the Jags are obviously concerned about their line with Guy Whimper playing right tackle for the injured Cameron Bradfield and Herb Taylor at left guard for the injured Eben Britton.
It’s quite a yawner with little suspense.
The Jaguars get the ball first in the third quarter. If they can show some smart adjustments and drive to a score, maybe we still have a chance at a game. Based on what I’ve seen so far, I sure doubt it.
