What I think they’re thinking in the headquarters of the Indianapolis Colts this afternoon.
We are a little less sore this Monday than last Monday, and not just because the Minnesota Vikings don’t hit as hard as the Chicago Bears did. The sleep was a little deeper. The air seems a little fresher. The food is a little tastier. We’re not throwing ourselves a parade for one win. But it wasn’t your average win. It was the first under a new regime run by general manager Ryan Grigson and coach Chuck Pagano. It was the first for a team quarterbacked by Andrew Luck. We showed good resolve, an ability to withstand a blow and respond to it. We let the Vikings come back to tie us late, but rallied for a field goal with eight seconds left that made us 1-1. We may have some tough days this year as we did in Chicago. But we’re going to have some good days like we did against the Vikings too. And we just learned the difference.
