What I think they’re thinking at the headquarters of the Indianapolis Colts this afternoon.
Building teams find moments that are cornerstones and touchstones. We found an enormous one of those Sunday, coming back against the Packers for an improbable win we dedicated to our ill coach, Chuck Pagano. It’s incredibly gratifying to work hard with an elevated purpose, to want to do well to help make someone feel better and to show him what it means to him and then go out and make all that happen. All of us who had any part in it deserve to be proud, and should look back to it as a reference point. If we can harness that emotion and execute in a matchup that looked bad -- we were thinned out at corner, Green Bay has a great passing offense -- then we shouldn’t accept excuses about not being able to do it in any other game. Pagano is in for a long fight, we can maintain our purpose.
