Texans rookie linebacker Brian Cushing, one of the team’s best players thorough the first four games of the season, was not with the team Wednesday because he was ill.

Flu-like symptoms are a broad category that covers a lot of territory around the NFL. But considering the Texans have the league’s one confirmed case of swine flu, with tight end Anthony Hill last week, it’s a heading sure to make the team and its devotees at least a bit more nervous.

Gary Kubiak said the team expects Cushing to be back at headquarters tomorrow.
