- In the Vikings' last six games, quarterback Christian Ponder has completed one pass of 15 yards or more downfield in 23 attempts. The Texans have not been playing great pass defense, but facing such a non-threatening quarterback could provide a major boost.
- If the Colts make the playoffs, they will be the eighth team in the common draft era to make the playoffs the same year as making the No. 1 overall pick in the draft. Indy is in with a win or a tie at Kansas City or a Pittsburgh loss or a tie against Cincinnati.
- In 10 regular-season starts with the temperature below freezing, Aaron Rodgers has thoroughly outplayed his counterparts, with a 7-3 record and a total QBR of 75.6 to 48.3 for his counterparts.
- Jaguars quarterback Chad Henne had some statistical success against the Patriots while he played for the Dolphins. He passed for a career-best 416 yards with two TDs and one interception and a 93.6 rating in his last game against New England. And he has more than 300 passing yards in three of his last four games against the Pats.
