Some radio highlights from Tuesday at the Super Bowl:
He’s still in a boot as he recovers from foot surgery and is riding a scooter around UCLA while he take classes. He said it’s a four-month recovery, but not as long as a comeback as what he endured coming off knee surgery earlier in his career.
He’s aspiring for straight As while living in a dorm at UCLA, where he’s a 27-year-old becoming friends with some 18-year olds. He admitted “it’s tough” to finish some assignments given his stage of life. Among his work: He’s got to read 100 pages and post about them each week.
About the Jaguars new regime, he said, “It’s going to be tough for a bunch of us to stay on this team.”
He’s been in six Super Bowls and won four rings. He said the 48-yarder that beat the Rams in his first Super Bowl appearance and the first for the Bill Belichick Patriots is the highlight that tops the list.
Regarding the state of the Colts, he said: “I feel like this is a very explosive, great, young team. …We all drank the Kool-Aid, we all bought in on it at the ground level.”
