Houston Texans

Running back Steve Slaton hasn't produced much on the ground this season, but is getting his touches as a receiver. According to the Houston Chronicle, Slaton is averaging 12.3 yards per catch.

The Chronicle's Texans notebook touches on issues in the kicking game and Mario Williams' shoulder injury.

Indianapolis Colts

Quarterback Peyton Manning is on pace to break the NFL's completions record, reports the Indianapolis Star. Manning has completed 73.5 percent of his passes this season.

It is unlikely the Colts will make a deal by Tuesday's trade deadline, writes Bob Kravitz of the Indy Star.

The Colts have improved their kickoff coverage, says Phil Richards.

Rested and refreshed, the Colts are ready to hit the road again.

Jacksonville Jaguars

Teammates credit quarterback David Garrard's confidence for the team's fourth-quarter comeback. “You could see the confidence in his eyes,” rookie offensive tackle Eben Britton told Jacksonville.com. “He came into the huddle and smiled and said, 'Let’s go.'"

Jaguars.com's Vic Ketchman gives credit to Garrard for getting it done in crunch time.

Jags cornerback Rashean Mathis has injured his index finger and may need surgery, reports Jacksonville.com.

Tennessee Titans

Titans coach Jeff Fisher says there "might be changes" to the lineup when Tennessee emerges from the bye week.

Fisher is more concerned with saving the Titans, and is not concerned about his job, writes the Tennessean's Jim Wyatt.

Fisher also doesn't want to talk about quarterback changes, saying that both starter Kerry Collins and backup Vince Young will get reps in the bye week.
