The Monty Show of Sporting News Radio sat down with a few AFC South stars Tuesday.
Titans running back LenDale White covers what's on everyone's mind: Will Vince Young once again be in contention for the starting quarterback job?
White: "Vince just has to be patient, things happen, you know? You've just got to be ready, when that times comes and they throw an opportunity your way you've gotta be ready to jump into the driver's seat and take that wheel and bring home the race and I think Vince is ready for that. When they give him the opportunity he'll be ready to go, until then or whatever the case is, if Kerry's our quarterback we're going to go out there and fight for Kerry and try to get some wins."
White also doesn't think the Titans' 59-0 loss the Patriots is indicative of the kind of team they are.
White: "We've all got to come together and we'll be alright. We've all just got to come together and believe. I believe in all my teammates that we're going to get the job done. And I know that they are going to get it done. The bye week couldn't have come at a better time for us to regroup, refocus and get everything under control. I think once we get back from the bye week and get our heads back on top of our shoulders we can come back and get a win."
Next, Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew praises teammate Mike Sims-Walker for bouncing back after his suspension.
Jones-Drew: "People make mistakes and granted it did hurt us because he's a great player, but my thing to him was when you come back, you've got to earn the respect of the team and he did that. Right before the game... I told him not to force anything but know that you owe us double time now. He went out there and blocked his butt off, caught passes and ran great routes. He was all over the field, and he showed great effort... He's smart, he's athletic and he's strong and he had a situation, but still. To have that guy around and have guys see that effort from a guy that can make plays all over the field, and he's a young guy, but he's still fighting and showing his whit's about him and keeping his awareness high, that goes a long way I think."
