Stephen in Indianapolis writes: We've seen good and bad from Garcon, but one thing that has impressed me the most is his big play ability, even as a young receiver. Is there a chance he could use that same ability in another arena on the team, say kick-off or punt returns?

Paul Kuharsky: It looks like Pierre Garcon did some kick returning his sophomore year at Mount Union. But it’s not so easy as to just throw a guy back there.

I’d be reluctant to try it for these reasons:

Injury risk goes up, and it wouldn’t be worth losing him on offense for what he might give you on special teams.

You want to keep his focus narrow and not ask him to do more jobs when he’s just starting to lock into one, but maybe hitting a lull at that one.

Josh in Atlantic Beach, FL writes: Alright Paul. I don't know how much more of this Jaguars moving to LA talk I can take. Believe it or not there is an actual growing fan base in Jacksonville. I'm 21 years old and I've been a Jaguars fan my whole life. My friends and I work and save all year just to buy our season tickets, 3 years going strong. Give it time and you will see this fan base grow.

Paul Kuharsky: How much time? I’m happy you’re committed, and no one is obligated to buy. But all the talk about how much support there is doesn’t translate to ticket sales, and ticket sales are what make things go. It doesn’t make Jacksonville a bad place. It makes Jacksonville a place where people aren’t buying NFL tickets.

Rick at home looking for a job with ESPN writes: Welcome back. Can we get two chat this week for missing last week? Just asking. And how can I be the Houston AFC South rep?

Paul Kuharsky: The application process is grueling, and I’m not sure you’d want to work for me I’m a pretty big pain.

Kidding.

I am a one-man band.

Nice to be missed, thanks. I’ll make up the chats by running long, as I usually do, for several weeks in a row, how about?

Edgar Hernandez in Austin, TX writes: When was the last time that you actually said something positive FOOTBALL wise about Vince Young Paul Kuharsky. Everything you've written about him has a negative feel to it. Paul I get why you dislike Vince Young. You don't think he deserved the praise he gotten in the past. So you take it upon yourself to trash him any time you get to. It's just in bad taste honestly. I understood the reasons why you don't like Vince the first time you stated them. You have valid reason too. But please just stop, it's just bad sports writing. I got your point the first time. I get that Fisher doesn't want Young. I get that the coaching staff doesn't want Young. You know what then they should get rid of him. If they already know he's not their guy then they need to get rid of him as soon as possible. The longer the keep him the worse things will get. No one can flourish if they are not supported. I'm not saying that Young wasn't supported at first because he was completely and then he made a bone headed mistake. And you know what he deserves what's happened, He also deserves a chance to succeed and if it's not with the Titans and they know they don't want him let him walk.

Paul Kuharsky: Please advise on what’s to be positive about? I am not a cheerleader. I am a reporter and commentator. He’s thrown five passes this year, all horrible, one picked. He showed very little progress in the preseason, after being sat down last year for his failure to develop and willingness to quit. A coaching staff that’s as loyal as any in the NFL is 0-6 and couldn’t bring itself to insert him into the lineup until the owner intervened.

If that’s me being negative, I’m negative. I’m not seeing the positive. If he plays Sunday and leads them to a win, I’ll give him his props. I’ll also need a six-week sampling to see for sure what they have in him. And I am pretty sure Fisher’s already decided he knows.

Young is not entitled to anything, as you suggest, even an early release. He’s under contract and he collects a huge check. The team is who is entitled -- to better play, effort, attitude, etc. for as long as he’s a Titan.
