The Jaguars played so well against Tennessee in the first meeting, Maurice Jones-Drew was hardly needed. He had just six carries and three catches. In Jacksonville’s other five games he’s averaged 25 touches.

Sunday at LP Field the Titans will be hoping Jones-Drew has limited touches again, but this time because of what they do defensively.

Jacksonville runs through Jones-Drew in a lot of ways, though we’ve said here the offense is becoming more diverse and the improving receivers are easing the pressure on him.

Still, keep these numbers in mind as you look to Sunday:

MJD has:
  • 79 career rushes of 10-plus yards
  • 22 of 20-plus yards
  • four of 50-plus yards.

Of his 638 carries since 2006, 12.4 percent have gone for 10-plus yards and 26.5 percent have resulted in first downs.
