The Colts (7-0) can pretty much seal up the AFC South with a win Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium over Houston (5-3). If the Texans pull off the upset, things would get more interesting considering they play the rematch Nov. 29 at Reliant Stadium.

A victory this week would tie Indianapolis for the third-longest regular-season win streak in NFL history.

Courtesy of the fine folks at ESPN Stats & Information:

Most consecutive games won regular season NFL history:
  • Patriots, 21 (2006-08)
  • Patriots, 18 (2003-04)
  • Bears, 17 (1933-34)
  • Colts, 16 (2008-09)
  • Steelers, 16 (2004-05)
  • Dolphins, 16 (1983-84)
  • Dolphins, 16 (1971-73)
  • Bears, 16 (1941-42)
Sixteen in a row is not the same as 16-0. The Colts’ success during this streak, however, has been remarkable.

Colts' last 16 regular-season games:
  • W-L: 16-0
  • Points PG: 26.6
  • Points differential per game: +12.4
  • Peyton Manning passer rating: 109.5
  • Manning sacked: 10
