Reading the coverage of the Texans...

The discussions of the Texans' safeties have revolved around Ed Reed, his replacement starter Shiloh Keo and rookie second-round pick D.J. Swearinger. But Danieal Manning, the starter opposite Reed or Keo, is an impactful player on the Texans' defense who doesn't get talked about enough. John McClain of the Houston Chronicle takes a look.

McClain also takes a look at receiver Andre Johnson's Hall of Fame chances. Johnson would rather have a Super Bowl championship.

Running back Arian Foster will play, that's not a question. But how much is the question. CSNHouston.com's Dave Zangaro examines with written words and James Palmer examines with spoken words.

Texans coach Gary Kubiak isn't ruling out Ed Reed for Monday's game yet, writes Kristie Rieken of the Associated Press. He wants to see how Reed does in pads first. That will give Reed a better idea, too, since he'll have a major say in when he's ready.
