Locker Room Buzz: Indianapolis Colts

October, 21, 2013
INDIANAPOLIS -- Observed in the locker room after the Indianapolis Colts' 39-33 victory over the Denver Broncos:

Feeling bad for Wayne: Quarterback Andrew Luck pointed the finger at himself on the play on which receiver Reggie Wayne was injured with 7:15 left in the game. Wayne’s knee buckled trying to come back for a ball underthrown by Luck. “I put a lot of blame on myself for missing him,” Luck said. “I don’t think there was anyone within a square mile of him.”

Oops, wrong person: Colts cornerback Vontae Davis took some razzing from his teammates after he referred to Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning as New England’s Tom Brady during a postgame interview with NBC’s Michele Tafoya.

No pressure: Colts coach Chuck Pagano said they didn’t put any pressure on Luck to go toe-to-toe with Manning. “Zero, zero,” Pagano said. “About the same amount he put on here when he signed his first contract, which was none.”
