Reading the coverage of the Houston Texans...

The Senior Bowl is this weekend, but the bulk of the information-gathering happens during the week. In this Insider piece, Todd McShay, Steve Muench and Kevin Weidl give their thoughts on players who stood out to them during the week Insider. Here's what they said about quarterbacks:
Best footwork: Jimmy Garoppolo, Eastern Illinois
Garoppolo has shown the most precise footwork of any QB here this week. We've been impressed with his ability to marry his eyes to his feet while going through his progressions.

Strongest arm: Logan Thomas, Virginia Tech
This one's not even close. Thomas has elite arm strength to push the ball vertically. The windy conditions on Tuesday gave him an opportunity to show off that arm.

Quickest release: Derek Carr, Fresno State
Carr's above-average arm strength isn't the only reason he can get the ball from Point A to Point B. Once Carr makes up his mind where he's going with the football, he gets it out of his hands more quickly than any QB here. Garoppolo was a close second.

Much, much more in the piece.

Speaking of Derek Carr, brother of David, he says he'd love to play for the Houston Texans, which is really the only response a draft prospect can have when asked about his team preference. The bigger question lies in whether or not the Texans would return to that family.

Marc Vandermeer, the voice of the Texans, took on the tough assignment of covering the two Texans at the Pro Bowl in Hawaii this week. He checks in with J.J. Watt and Duane Brown for HoustonTexans.com.
