Comparing Colts-Pats roster composition

Because the Colts have a long-standing reputation of not shopping for many veteran free agents and because the Patriots have willingly jumped out to bring in impact guys like Randy Moss and Adalius Thomas, I figured a roster comparison could be jarring.
Incorrect.
The Colts and Patriots are about the same in terms of being draft-reliant. Marty Callinan of ESPN Stats & Information, who’s made an excellent bid this season to become my new best friend, examined the roster and gave me this:
