When Alex Gibbs took over as the Texans de facto run-game coordinator, much was made of the immediate impact he'd made in his prior coaching gigs.

The Texans have made substantial run-game gains through half a season: Up 12 attempts, 247 yards, a yard per carry and nearly 31 yards a game.

While Houston is ahead of Gibbs' usual Year One pace in yards per carry and touchdowns, the Texans will need to run better to match the carries, total yards and yards per game.
