Vince Young, Tom Condon a smart match
By Paul Kuharsky
Vince Young has signed up with Tom Condon, the veteran agent who represents the likes of the Manning brothers. Here's Jim Wyatt's report.
I think it’s a great move for him. (I suggested such a switch last summer.) The agent he left, Major Adams, is a trusted family friend with limited experience and no other clients. He appeared to be a yes-man who didn’t challenge or guide Young in the way he may have needed.
Young has two seasons remaining on his original contract. Teams don't often let starting quarterbacks get into contract years, so I’d expect Condon to offer him quality advice that will maximize the chances for them to be talking about a new deal with the Titans after the 2010 season.
I'm anxious to hear from Young on this and expect he'll touch on it at a Thursday OTA that's open to the media.
