A look at running back yards after contact

Logging yards after contact is, I would think, an inexact science.

Still, the numbers Pro Football Focus pieces together from the 2010 season are certainly of interest.

No AFC South back made the top 10 in its Elusive Rating, but there are some interesting numbers on three of our runners.

Indianapolis’ Donald Brown got 74.4 percent of his rushing yards after contact, the fifth-best percentage in the league, fourth among backs with more than 110 carries.

Tennessee’s Chris Johnson and Houston’s Arian Foster tied for sixth in forced missed tackles with 49 each, not far off leader Adrian Peterson's 53.
