Matt Hasselbeck sidelined in Nashville
By Paul Kuharsky
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Titans quarterback Matt Hasselbeck has left the game against the Saints after a non-contact left calf injury. He was replaced by rookie Jake Locker.
Hasselbeck was hurt after a pass was batted in the air. Players chased it as it floated in the air and Hasselbeck got downfield a bit and ran in front of the play, unharrassed. He then hopped on one leg and went to the turf. The ball wound up falling incomplete.
Titans Radio reported the team was trying to fit him with a brace on the sideline. The team said his return is questionable.
Locker just took the field for a fresh series. He did well in relief in Atlanta a couple weeks ago, but the Titans were behind by a lot when he entered. The Saints lead this one 3-0.
