Another benchmark for Luck Tuesday
By Paul Kuharsky
A couple firsts have already been ticked off Andrew Luck's list. He was at the draft. He ran the Colts’ offense at a rookie minicamp.
Bigger firsts await him, of course.
Tuesday's a biggie. As the Colts’ three-day minicamp kicks off, he gets his first work with the entire team and his first practice snaps with the first-team offense.
I’ll be in Indianapolis Tuesday along with a slew of media to see Luck in action and to talk with him.
We’ve got no lack of storylines in the AFC South heading toward camps: The Titans' quarterback battle, the return of Matt Schaub, the contract issue for Maurice Jones-Drew.
But for the long term, none of those will compare to Luck taking over as the starting quarterback in Indianapolis.
He’s a polished player and a polished talker, and we’ll see how those translate on a different level starting Tuesday. Wednesday’s practice is a public affair at 4 p.m. at Lucas Oil Stadium.
We’ll do our best to be your eyes and ears.
