Life minus football: Brian Cushing

By Paul Kuharsky

The AFC South blog asked Houston Texans linebacker Brian Cushing what he would be doing if there was no football in his life.

Here’s his reply:

“I think I’d be into the military and try to go to the highest rank possible, maybe be a Navy Seal. I’ve always had a super respect and I’ve always been fascinated by that. It’s something my dad did, he was in the Army. It's something I would like to do as well. I definitely like a challenge. Something like being at the highest level of football, I would try to replicate that somewhere else. I do swim a lot, and I grew up going to Long Beach Island, N.J.”
