Play-time plans for Texans in Carolina
By Paul Kuharsky
Brian Cushing's hospital stay is over. His viral infection is behind him enough that Gary Kubiak’s suggesting the inside linebacker could play Saturday in Carolina.
“As long as he’s feeling well, he’ll go through our jog-through in the morning and he’ll get his repetitions on Saturday,” Kubiak said.
John McClain of the Houston Chronicle says not to expect Cushing to play.
If he doesn’t, it’s certainly no big deal.
Further details of the play plan for the game against the Panthers:
Kubiak told Houston reporters he’ll look to play his first-teamers for 12 to 15 plays. The second team will go for “a good quarter and a half, maybe a little more.” The threes will get into the game in the middle of the third or start of the fourth.
After Matt Schaub, we’ll see T.J. Yates. John Beck will be third this week, with Case Keenum last in line.
