Biggest question after first games
By Paul Kuharsky
What’s the biggest question in the AFC South coming out of the preseason openers?
The Texans are waiting for further information on defensive tackle Shaun Cody's back injury. Losing him for an extended period will test their depth on the interior on base defense downs.
The Colts raced off to a wonderful start, but they, too, are waiting on injury news. Inside linebacker Pat Angerer is a key player on the new 3-4 front, and the depth behind him is shaky for sure.
In Jacksonville, we’re about to see Justin Blackmon lined up opposite Laurent Robinson as the Jaguars finally get their two fancy new receivers on the field together and provide Blaine Gabbert with those upgraded weapons. Is Gabbert progressing at a good enough pace?
The Titans returned from Seattle without any major developments in the quarterback battle, but with a bad work sample from Chris Johnson. When will it be time to worry about whether he’s gotten past last season?
