What I think the Colts are thinking
By Paul Kuharsky
What I think they’re thinking at the headquarters of the Indianapolis Colts this afternoon…
Theme of the week: Let’s start stringing some wins together. Everyone wants to talk long-range forecasts. They predict if we’re going to get so good so fast that we challenge for the playoffs or if we'll keep kind of bouncing back and forth between good and bad and wind up inconsistent the way a lot of young teams with young quarterbacks do. What we need to do, after enjoying this victory Monday, is to maintain a laser-like focus on what’s next, and what’s next is a trip to Tennessee. We can make plays against this Titans defense, but it won’t matter unless we bottle up Chris Johnson. Hopefully we’re getting healthier and getting some guys back on the defensive front who can make sure we pick up where we left off against Cleveland in terms of defending the run. Andrew Luck will focus on getting rid of the ball a little quicker in certain situations, plays that can help out in pass protection.
