How they rank in key categories
By Paul Kuharsky
Here's our weekly look at where the teams of the AFC South stand in key categories. I generally consider third-down efficiency super important. And points, of course, tend to trump all.
A couple moves of note:
- Houston’s defense climbed from sixth to third overall with the super-solid performance against Baltimore.
- Indianapolis moved down in six of these 10 categories even as they beat the Browns.
- Jacksonville dropped from 27th to 32nd in third-down offense after a 1-for-15 effort in the loss at Oakland.
- Tennessee jumped from 32nd in rushing offense to 28th on the strength of Chris Johnson's 18-carry, 195-yard effort in Buffalo.
