In preparation for Johnson vs. Fitzgerald

Houston at Arizona means Andre Johnson at Larry Fitzgerald.
The two receivers on the same field means a great storyline at University of Phoenix Stadium Sunday.
To help get you ready, NFC West maven Mike Sando and I dug in on the two players, talking with them and with a lot of people about them.
Production trumps all, and Johnson is productive. Of all the conversations I had about him, I was particularly struck by this piece of what Colts safety Melvin Bullitt had to say about AJ:
“He’s hands down one of the most respected players in the game right now with all that he does. He’s not a diva at all. Scores, hands the ball to the ref. Plays hard. Doesn’t complain when the team doesn’t do as well. He’s one of those guys you can look to him and say, ‘This is the kind of player I want to be like.’”
High praise, and from all I have seen and heard, well deserved. You’ll also hear from Johnson, an AFC personnel man, Maurice Jones-Drew, Titans offensive coordinator Mike Heimerdinger, Peyton Manning and Trent Dilfer.
The pieces are this week’s Hot Read, and I hope you’ll click on them right away.
