What I think the Titans are thinking
By Paul Kuharsky
What I think they’re thinking at the headquarters of the Tennessee Titans this afternoon…
Until we are officially eliminated from playoff contention, we’re going to think we can find a way in. We’ve all seen improbable teams that looked to have no chance find their way in. That Steelers loss to Baltimore Sunday night helped us. We are just two games behind both Indianapolis and Pittsburgh, with a head-to-head tiebreaker over Pittsburgh and a game left against the Colts on Dec. 9. Fortunately there is only one 5-5 team (Cincinnati) to leap to make a move. Unfortunately four other AFC teams are also 4-6 and could gum up the works even if we manage to follow through in our best-case scenario. For right now, all we can do is prepare for a trip to Jacksonville and take care of the Jaguars. They’d be crazy not to stick with Chad Henne at quarterback considering what he did Sunday in Houston. And with the passing yards and pass plays we’ve given up this year, he’d be a big concern.
