What I think the Jaguars are thinking

By Paul Kuharsky

What I think they’re thinking at the headquarters of the Jacksonville Jaguars this evening…

Maybe this is what we need. Even change for change sake might have been OK. But with Blaine Gabbert banged up and not having rallied us to life, and with Chad Henne having done so many good things, why not make the switch? It’s time to rally and show that while we are hardly a great team, we’re also better than 1-9 suggests. Hey, we respect all our opponents. But last we checked the Titans didn’t qualify as anything particularly special. They give up a ton of plays, and now maybe we can make some. If I had a shaky pass defense, I wouldn’t want to be getting ready for Justin Blackmon right now. Mike Mularkey gave us a day off as a bit of a reward for playing better and still losing. We didn’t say no. But it’d be nice for him to get some sort of reward for the way he’s stuck with us and continued to believe in us. And that really only comes in one form: Wins. Let’s start with one.
