What I think the Jaguars are thinking
By Paul Kuharsky
What I think they’re thinking at the headquarters of the Jacksonville Jaguars this afternoon…
We’re just not that good. We’re good at holding together and listening to our coach and staying on message. But we’re supposed to be past a lot of the things we struggled with Sunday in Buffalo. And the Bills aren’t the Texans or Falcons. If we can’t maintain contact with Buffalo and compete with them, well there is some more evidence about our insufficient talent. We are simply not good enough. And the success from a week ago against one bad team wasn’t nearly strong enough to carry over to seven days later against another bad team. We’ve got four games left and can talk like there is something to be turned around, but this season is long gone. We want to show pride and continued togetherness, but there is little we can do with what we’ve got left that will fix anything. The fixing had to come from an influx of new talent and free agency and the draft are a ways away.
