Jones-Drew about to start foot rehabilitation
By Paul Kuharsky
Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew is about to take a big step in his path back from a serious foot injury.
Per Ryan O’Halloran of the Florida Times-Union, Jones-Drew will get the boot taken off his surgically repaired left foot this week and be set free to begin his rehabilitation.
“I’ve had some conversations with him,” coach Gus Bradley told O’Halloran. “I know Maurice’s past history is that he leans up as he gets closer to the season. I know this is probably challenging for him to be in the boot and not be doing things physically. But I totally trust him. When he has the time, he’ll be ready to go.”
MJD won’t be part of the team’s mid-April minicamp for veterans. But O’Halloran says “there isn’t concern about his availability for training camp.”
