Titans' coordinators assess opposing side
By Paul Kuharsky
The Titans have made significant changes in personnel and scheme on both sides of the ball.
So as they approached the end of their offseason work on Wednesday, I asked offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains for his thoughts on the defense and defensive coordinator Jerry Gray for his thoughts on the offense.
Loggains on the defense: “Schematically there is definitely a difference there. There is definitely a difference in the swagger and the attitude. That comes with every Gregg Williams defense, on every team he’s been a part of. There is definitely a confidence and a swagger that this group has that the group last year didn’t have.”
Gray on the offense: The biggest thing that I like about our offense is that they are using all 54 yards wide and 120 yards long. They are going to make you defend the whole field. They are going to challenge you. You’re not going to say, ‘Hey, I’m going to play half the field.” That’s what I really like. They are attacking the whole football field and keeping everybody honest, and good teams do that.”
